Who are our volunteers?

Our volunteer family is a unique blend of community members. They include retirees, students, individuals looking for a career change and people who have time to give.

What do they do?

Some of the important things they do are: greet our patients with a smile and escort them to their destination, get a blanket or socks for a patient who feels cold and comfort family members and keep them informed.

When do they volunteer?

Volunteering fits into everyone’s schedule. We offer a variety of day and evening shifts, seven days a week. We ask you to make a minimum one-year commitment to a regular weekly schedule and assignment, usually four hours per week.

Where do they volunteer?

Volunteers work in almost every area of the hospital such as assisting in the surgery waiting, spiritual care, patient care units, greeters and information desks. Some volunteers may work on special projects and community events.

What are the requirements?

  • Be able to make a minimum one-year commitment to a regular weekly schedule and assignment, usually four hours per week
